Today was supposed to be the day Philip and his silent partner closed the deal on the renovation home they're going to buy... but at the last minute a fourth mortgage was found... and they've pushed the closing date back to Tuesday until they can figure out whassup. It won't prevent the sale... it will just complicate and lengthen it...

I'm freakin' out because I've been so eager to edit the tons of video footage I have just waitin' to get edited... but I need peace and quiet to work. When Philip was working at the casino five days a week, I used to have plenty of time to get my stuff done, but since his wrist injury, he hasn't been at work... and except for those isolated times when he's helping his mom take care of his dad, I haven't been working. I need to work... not only for money, which is super tight especially after the Atlanta trip, but I need to be creative. I know it sounds silly... but it soothes my soul.

So I was in a very tense mood most of this day. Since the house-closing was pushed back I begged Philip to go spend a few days with his mom and dad so I can get some work done. He said he would... but not 'til tomorrow. So... instead of working all day like I really wanted to... I hung out with Philip and the boat boys.

We first went to see ANYTHING ELSE, the new Woody Allen comedy. It was cute. I love the way Allen writes... but I still maintain that no other movie was as well-written or acted as his classic, HANNAH AND HER SISTERS... pure brilliance... But everything he writes is so true... so human... I just love him.

Later we all went to Howling Wolf to see Wesley of the music group Hadji (check out wearehadji.com) perform. It's always nice to see her... and it was a treat to see her do the music, which is her life's passion. I tell ya, that girl can belt out a strong, guttural scream and then effortlessly slink back into the soft, sultry stuff... quite enjoyable to see live. But I do hate bar-room settings... the smoke kills me.

So when I got home I tried to figure out why my website bill has been four times as much as normal for the past two months. It's true, I add a lot of pix to my site to link them to this diary... but you'd figure my bill would slowly get higher and higher... cuz the rate at which I add pix is fairly constant. I was stunned to see that next month my bill is going to be even more than it has been. So in three months they're charging me more than I usually get charged in a year!!! That's freakin' me out... especially cuz I'm broke and I can't seem to get the editing completed. I'll have to talk to them on the phone on Monday. But tonight I went through and deleted 95% of the unnecessary pix (mostly from older log entries)... so the diary might start getting even MORE boring! Sorry, I hope I can clear it up and get it back to the way I want it.
