Vidkid Timo's Online Diary

The diary of Vidkid Timo
a testament of my insanity

It's so rare that Philip and I argue that I think I should mention it in the diary. On our drive to St. Francisville today Philip brought up one of the things that Brandon mentioned last night... that the moon rotates. Philip is one of those people who think that the moon, since the same side always faces the Earth, does not rotate. But if you think about it for half a second... and if you know that rotate means to turn on an axis... that the moon MUST rotate for the same side to always be facing the Earth. It just rotates very slowly... once every 27 days. I learned this in astronomy class at L.S.U. and in high school science class. Philip swears that he took astronomy and that the moon does not rotate... Well, the internet seems to agree with Brandon and me. The moon rotates.

That's the kind of stuff Philip and I get into heated debates over. And even though I'm correct... I still manage to forget myself and scream like an abused child. It sucks being an emotional retard. Thank god for my brief periods of clarity to put things in perspective.

The rest of the day was fine. Philip wanted some pine cones to use on the Christmas tree, so I suggested we go to my mom's... her back yard is filled with them. So we got a huge garbage bag full of cones, dropped off a few dvd's for my brother and a few VHS tapes for my mother. We also watched THE JUNGLE BOOK in front of the fireplace with my mom.

On the drive back through Baton Rouge Philip and I stopped by Kinko's to say "hey" to James T. We then had dinner at Brew-Bachers Grill, since the fine Italian place we decided on was closed on Sunday.

After that we went to see Brandon and his two dogs. Brandon and James T. live in a cute neighborhood not far from where my nieces and nephews were born (Woman's Hospital). Now we'll be able to imagine them in their little homestead. Ahhhh... domestic bliss...

On the way out of town we stopped at Applebee's for dessert and coffee... then drove home to New Orleans.

After some cuddlin' and watching the brilliant first part of ANGELS IN AMERICA on HBO (which I first saw on stage years ago), we both went to bed on this Sunday, December 7th, 2003.
