I forgot to mention yesterday that Philip's doctor says he has to get a bone graft on his broken wrist bone since it's not healing. He's going to have the operation on New Year's Eve.

Philip's friend Joel passed back through town. We had brunch with him at Fiorella's and then went shopping with him in the French Quarter. It started to rain... so as we darted from stretches of sidewalk unprotected to parts semi-shielded by balconies and porches... I jumped a puddle, lifted my jacket to shield my head from a mini-waterfall... as my feet hit the ground, my cell phone (which was in the breast pocket of my jacket) bounced back and hit me in the eye. It stung... so the next time we went into a shop I looked in the mirror and saw a huge knot forming... a blood-clot. I have a black eye!

The rest of the day I nursed my wound, napped and wrapped Christmas gifts that I'll give to my family and friends tomorrow in St. Francisville. Philip worked on that house he's renovating.

Philip made hamburger helper for dinner... we watched THAT TOUCH OF MINK on cable... then he tried to master that new blue-print software again... still not much luck with that.
