Philip asked me to come with him to his mom's house in Mississippi where she's taking care of his father. I don't usually go on these trips, since his father is ill... and since I usually have so much work to do here... but hey, it's the day after Christmas...

Philip's dad moved very slowly and talked very softly... and was confused some of the time (he's got Alzheimer's and Parkinson's) but he was aware much of the time... and he interacted with me. Philip's mom made a lot of food... and she made me take home a huge piece of cream-cheese-coconut cake. I'm gonna get fat, I haven't worked out this whole week!

Philip and I got home late and did as much work as we could on our respective computers 'til bedtime.
