Vidkid Timo's Online Diary

The diary of Vidkid Timo
- boring details of my life -

After Philip made sure his workers at the renovation house were doing what they needed to do, he and I packed up the truck and started moving stuff to Alabama!

We will slowly move our stuff and start preparing his dad's house for occupancy every weekend for the next two or three months until we're totally moved.

I guess I should take this opportunity to give you a little insight as to why we're moving... although I'll probably write more about it in depth over the next few weeks and months...

First... I'm tired of living in the city. I was born in a small town and so was Philip. We both have the desire to have a yard and privacy from neighbors... it's just the kind of thing we can't have in the city.

Secondly... I'm tired of making porn videos. I think I've said just about all I can say with porn. I'm not saying I'll never make an adult video again... but I certainly need a rest from that.

Thirdly... Philip's dad's house needs to be fixed up so it can either be rented out or sold when he finally passes. Philip can't afford to hire people to do it, so we'll just live there and do it ourselves. It'll kill two birds with one stone.

So, yes, I'll still sell the porn videos I've already made (I've got bills to pay)... and I actually have enough footage to make one new short specialty video... but I'm about to take an extended hiatus from making porn. Don't worry, I'll still write my BLATHER column for outinamerica.com and I'll still write my daily diary for a while.

And I'll still make non-porn videos occasionally. I'm actually flying to Los Angeles in a few days to film with Varla Jean Merman and Jack Plotnick.

So. That's what's going on with my life and the move.

On our drive to Alabama, one of the boxes fell out of the back of Philip's truck onto the heavily trafficked interstate highway. We pulled onto the road's shoulder and backed up to see if we could salvage anything. Philip saw the head of a nutcracker and he buckled over with stomach pain! He was afraid that the expensive collector (King Charlemagne) nutcracker I got him for Christmas... but upon closer investigation it turned out to be a cheap nutcracker his mom got him from Target. Whew! The two other items in the box (a tree angel and teddy bear) both survived the oncoming cars and trucks and were rescued.

When we got to Philip's dad's house we realized that the gas had been cut off... and the stove, hot-water heater and clothes dryer were all gas-powered... so no hot baths or cooking this weekend! We went into town and paid the bill. It will be turned on again early next week so next weekend everything should work.

We started the huge job of cleaning out Philip's dad's ranch house. It is quite a huge job, but it needs to be done. I also planted some sweet olive trees (Philip's favorite fragrance) and juniper bushes and set a timed sprinkler to water them.

We worked well into the night making huge piles of stuff that we'll try to sell in a yard sale in a few weeks... and lots of bags of garbage, of course.

That was Friday, May 7th, 2004.
