Again, Philip and I spent most of the day in La Freniere Park as not to bother Mike and Allan... but we did have lunch with them in the French Quarter. That was pleasant.

We also hung out with our dear friend Skitz... at La Freniere Park. We saw an enormous duck that we eventually figured out to be a goose! Ah how quickly we forget our farmyard education... and Philip and I are both supposed to be country boys!

We got word that the electricity was back on at Philip's dad's place in Alabama... so we sent our friend Scott in Mobile out to test it. Indeed, the juice was on. So much for the two weeks without electricity... although many parts of the state still are in the dark so says the news.

We checked our mail and there was a gift sent to me by the artist formerly known as Aaron Lawrence. It's a dvd called GYMNASTIKOS (Power & Grace). I can't wait to view it!

Speaking of ex-porn people... Deckard emailed to check on how we made it through Hurricane Ivan.

After a nice grilled pork chop dinner with Allan, Philip and I drove from New Orleans, Louisiana... back to Wilmer, Alabama. It's so bizarre how many trees got blown down. And how many people are still without power.

As we sat on our sofa together, watching television before bed, Philip said, "how come no place is as comfortable as our home?". I answered something to the effect that "I don't know... but I sure agree."
