Thousands of African-American voters from Florida were disenfranchised in the 2000 presidential election. Numerous petitions were brought to the Senate to record this horrific miscarriage of justice but the objections could not be made official since no member of the Senate would sign them.

The Supreme Court decided the 2000 presidential election not the people of the United States. This is against the very premise of our nation.

A security briefing on August 6th, 2001 was given to George W. Bush stating that Osama Bin Laden was planning to attack America by hijacking airplanes. It was ignored by the president and John Ashcroft.

On September 10th, 2001, George W. Bush himself sent a memo to the office of the Attorney General reducing the counterterrorism budget from the F.B.I.

We all know what happened on September 11th, 2001.

On September 13th, 2001 (while all other air-traffic was halted) the White House authorized government planes (in coordination with the F.B.I. and Saudi Arabia) to take 24 members of the Bin Laden family (without being questioned) and 118 other Saudi Arabians out of the U.S. This is a wild breech of investigative procedure.

Starting in the mid-1970s, numerous large financial ties have been between the Bin Ladens and Bushs including defense companies (that make tanks and such) which benefited from 9/11 and the war on terror. Thats right, the Bin Laden family, through companies they invested in, would profit from 9/11 and so would the Bush family.

Independent investigations were launched within days of Pearl Harbor and the assassination of President Kennedy but George W. Bush fought all investigations of the events surrounding 9/11. When Congress finally did complete its study of the matter, the Bush White House censored 28 pages of the report (by making them classified material).

George W. Bush gets paid $400,000 per year from citizens of our country to be the president. The Bush familys businesses (and businesses of their friends) got $1,400,000,000 over the last 30 years, via investments from the Saudi royals and their associates. Thats over $46,500,000 per year. Whose interests would you be more concerned with? Someone who gives you less than half a million dollars? Or someone who gives you and your friends over 46 million dollars?

Saudi Arabia owns 6% of the American economy. It doesnt sound like much but if they pulled out their investments all at once it would be devastating.

Even though Osama Bin Laden was a Saudi, 15 of the 19 hijackers from 9/11 were Saudis and Saudi money funded Al Qaeda President George W. Bush had dinner with the Saudi Arabian ambassador in the White House just 2 days after 9/11.

Four weeks after 9/11, the U.S. invaded Afghanistan with only 11,000 troops. There are more than 11,000 policemen in Manhattan! It was an almost empty gesture.

Once things got rolling in Afghanistan the Bush administration played the old bait and switch and put focus on Iraq.

Iraq was never a threat to our country. Yes, it mightve been a threat to its neighboring countries but for George W. Bush to try to make a connection between 9/11 and Iraq is just a deadly distraction.

Out of the 535 members of congress only 1 has an enlisted son in Iraq. They dont want to lose their children in war, no one does. But they expect mostly lower and middle class people (who largely make-up the military) to put their lives on the line.

Wars should not be conducted unless they are absolutely necessary. Wars should not be based on intelligence until that information is verified. Its not just the lives of our citizens and soldiers that hang in the balance, its our nations reputation in the world. Do we really want to become (or remain) as lazy, indifferent and cruel as we are perceived to be by the terrorists?

A hierarchal society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance.

Rich leaders count on the fact that most of us are struggling financially and uninformed. Thats how they are able to control us putting us in a psychological state where we wont question their actions and making us grateful for every crumb of bread they throw to us.

Its not unpatriotic to question authority its our right. Its necessary to keep our system free and free from corruption. The administration should be more than happy to prove their actions as just and fair and they should readily admit when they are wrong and do what it takes to correct mistakes.

Much of the Patriot Act can be (and is) used to erode our freedoms under the guise of fighting terrorism.

Terrorists do not hate us for our freedoms, as George W. Bush would suggest. They think were godless deviates. They may not like us because of how we exercise our freedoms, but they hate us because of our foreign policies.

Please watch Michael Moores FARENHEIT 9/11 before you vote. If you dont want to buy it, rent it. If you cant rent it, you can still watch it. Dish Network (satellite), TVN (cable), and CinemaNow.com (internet) will broadcast FARENHEIT 9/11 on November 1st at 8:00pm.

Please inform yourself. Please take positive, constructive action. Please make sure that the leaders you support are really concerned with all of us (not just the elite). Please make sure that the leaders you support are really concerned with the greater good and will go about achieving it through noble means.

This is my thought for Monday, November 1st, 2004.
