Jeff (a.k.a. Varla Jean Merman) emailed today. He wanted to wish me a happy birthday a day early because tomorrow he leaves on a cruise to Amsterdam (in which he'll be performing as Varla). I told him that he must visit my friends at the Blue Boy Brothel!

When Philip got home from work, he and I watched "Smallville"... which as usual, was nice eye-candy, but totally lame plot-wise. I can't believe a good show like "Star Trek: Enterprise" would get canceled and something like this could thrive (because the kryptonite explanation for 99.9% of the mayhem is weak). I suppose Tom Welling's beauty can carry it off. I hope the next Star Trek series is about Starfleet Academy... full of hot young actors and actresses... to get a younger audience interested in science, exploration and cultural relations.
